·  Lead/Senior Scheduler – 2015 Alky Turnaround

I was the Lead Scheduler for CITGO’s Alky Unit Turnaround for 2015.  I Utilizing Primavera 6 v8.3 for a level 4 schedule with 10,000 activities with completely retained logic and no open ends to report progress, variances, and Impact/delay analysis on the upcoming Turnaround. Built complete WBS with all disciplines (Major Equipment (Towers, Drums, Vessels, and Exchangers), Piping, Valves, Control Valves, Relief Valves, and Rotating Equipment. Create process and tracking reports which will provided the field updates to the primavera schedule on a weekly basis. Create Layouts/Filters in primavera which reported out of sequence activity, by area and equipment. Facilitates agreement from multiple departments on milestone dates. Set baselines in order to measure variances from our estimates vs. actuals (EV). Built reports to show budgeted labor units for each resource assignments. Analyse schedules for potential impacts and advise Project Manager of potential problems, work interference or schedule difficulties and assist in the resolution. Provide required information, reports, documentation, and schedules for Change Order creation and submission. I worked as lead planner/scheduler to provide Chevron Phillips with a schedule of activities for their upcoming turnaround.  I built an intense resource loaded schedule of Safety Instrument System (SIS), Electrical, Piping and Mechanical disciplines that are required for the turnaround.  All activities are logically linked together in order to perform the upcoming outage with the utmost efficiency.  I have developed and setup a server based MS Project scheduling System. I’ve taught day to day maintenance and electrical planners how a server based schedule and how it will benefit them in the future, and I’m teaching them how their project can be interlinked to cut down confusion which is common with the normal import and export of information.

I had 1 Junior Planner/Scheduler under my supervision.  Job responsibilities were to create an overall level 1 baseline for preliminary guidelines with important milestones that apply to the project’s critical deadlines.  plan & schedule using of Primavera WBS scheduling techniques & develop logic driven schedule and updating the integrated project schedule which I broke down into sub projects of a working master schedule.  After all logical ties were complete a baseline was set and represented on Gantt for the purpose of easily identifying critical items, items that may become critical to be able to complete the project as efficiently as possible.  I utilize the baseline variance to show where production may be lacking or where production is more efficient that we had originally anticipated which allowed us to shuffle available resources around to other areas that had used more time than the original estimate. I’m able to effectively utilizing the technique of earned man hours vs. estimated hours. I built a database of work to perform, estimated hours, earned hours and actual man hours utilizing Microsoft access by creating queries that defined what information I needed to keep a working/true schedule of activities.  I attended meetings with Motiva representatives on a daily basis to report any problems or set-backs that could slow down progress, and where our main concerns were from a man power / cost point of view.  I’m responsible of receiving/signing the transfer of documentation to me from the client and distributing the received documentation to my Superintendents in the field.
